Quick Facts

• The remote sensing (RS) equipment takes 30-45 minutes to set up.  

• The RS equipment can work in many settings; rain and moderate wind don't affect readings.  The ideal situation would involve:  a single lane of traffic moving between 20 and 35 mph and accelerating slightly.  

• There are six members on the van crew; all are engineering students at KU.
